Controlled Burn Training Exercise at Urbana-Champagne

This short paper, presented at the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) conference in Seoul in 2006, outlines an unusual training program pursued by the Universty of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. There, the University library partnered with the Illinois Fire Services Institute to create an opportunity for library personnel to experience a controlled burn and assess the aftermath of fire damage.

This project is administered by the South Central Regional Library Council with funding from the Institue for Museum and Library Services.
