Thanks for Road Tripping with us this summer! While the "official" event ended on August 31, 2024, you are always welcome to visit any of our libraries for great materials, programming, and more!
If your question is not addressed in this FAQ, please reach out to your local public library. Libraries are trusted sources of information and are happy to answer your questions.
Q: When does the FLX Library Road Trip take place?
A: While you can visit our libraries year round, the FLX Library Road Trip takes place July 1 through August 31, 2024. It's meant to highlight our libraries' summer reading programming.
Q: When do I receive my first souvenir?
A: Get your map stamped at 5 different libraries. Then show your map to library staff to collect your first souvenir.
Q: How many souvenirs can I earn?
A: One souvenir of each type per person please.
Q: What if I lose my map?
A: You can request a new map at any library--the staff will mark off all the libraries you have already visited.
Q: Can I use my library card at other libraries?
A: Yes! If you have a library card from an FLLS member library, you can use that library card at any library on the Road Trip!
Bonus: If you borrow a book from one library, you can return it at another library.
Q: I don't have a library card. Where can I get one?
A: You can sign up for a library card at the library in the community in which you reside. If you are unsure of your home library, you can call FLLS to help direct you, or staff at a member library can help determine where to go. After figuring out your home library, it is recommended you call the library to learn what types of documents you may need to sign up for a library card.
Q: Are all 33 FLLS libraries participating?
A: Yes! Be sure to check their website for their hours and programs. FLX Library Road Trip Interactive Map
